Easter: NCPC felicitates with Christian faithful
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has felicitated with Christian faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten season, which culminates in the celebration of Easter.
In his Easter message, Bishop Stephen Adegbite who noted that without the resurrection, there would be no Christianity called for an end to the incessant killing of innocent people in Plateau State and other parts of the country.
He stated that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have brought an end to calamity and redeemed Christians from sin calling on political office holders to look into the plight of citizens and come up with initiatives that would enable Nigerians to reap the full dividends of democracy.
Bishop Stephen Adegbite expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that some politicians are already campaigning for 2027 instead of focusing on the full implementation of the current administration’s policies and programmes.
He, therefore, appealed to the political class to work for national progress and place the interest of the country above personal ambition.
Bishop Stephen Adegbite reassured Nigerians that the Renewed Hope programmes of the current administration would alleviate the plight of the downtrodden and empower youths and women towards prosperity.
